would buy again Nov 11, 2009
I bought these bags on previous reviews. They are great! Sturdy, washable, a good size, and the checkouts like them because they have a tab to hang them while they are being filled. I have not seen any other bags I like as well as these!

I, like the other reviewers, felt sheepish about bringing my store-brand reusable bags into a competitor's store. I was looking for new bags that were made of cotton and would be able to stand the test of time.
So far I'm impressed with these bags. I love that they are mostly logo-free and the cotton canvas seems to be of good quality. I very much like the bag loop and have gotten favorable comments from the baggers at my grocery store.
I washed them right away after I pulled them out of the box because they had a sort of chemical /wet paint smell that I didn't care for. But beware, they do shrink noticeably even using cold water. They are not pre-shrunk. I didn't have a big problem with wrinkling, but I pulled them out of the washer right away and hung them to dry. You can pull some of the wrinkles out while they are wet.
The only other thing that would have made these more amazing is slightly longer handles. You can't really sling them over your shoulder comfortably.
On a side note, the one thing I love about my other store-brand polypropylene bags is the rectangular piece of plastic that keeps the bottom stable. Being environmentally conscious, I simply reused those in my new canvas bags and they worked perfectly!
They are good price and good quality.

These bags are AWESOME!! Jan 19, 2009
I've wanted to have reusable bags for a while, and I finally got a set of these. This week we had our first trip to the grocery store with them and with an absolutely FULL cart, 5 bags held almost everything. I was absolutely amazed. The handles were strong, comfy, and the baggers didn't have any trouble using them.
I plan on getting a second set as soon as they are available again. Excellent product!

The bags are great...the company is greater Nov 19, 2008
I bought these bags and the company inadvertently shipped me the wrong bags. I emailed the company and asked to be reimbursed for the difference in price since what they sent me was the kind of bag that the grocery stores sell now.
Not only did they send me the five canvas bags I had ordered, but they told me to keep the bags I had already received. I'd say that is excellent Customer Care.
The bags are very roomy and sturdy to boot.

Love these bags. They're strong and hold a fair amount of groceries. I also like the fact that they're not gigantic. I'd say its a little wider than the average paper bags at the store. The only thing I don't like is that it doesn't have a hard bottom so the bag can stand on it's own.
