 Plastic Reusable Bag Sep 24, 2009
I bought these bags several months ago to avoid the pile-up of endless plastic bags. I was pleased with them, at first. The size is just right and the loop stitched on one side makes it easy for checkers to keep them open on their carousels. The handles could have been a little longer for shoulder carrying and the inserts in the bottom are too weak to keep the bags' shape. The reason I am really displeased with them now is that they are fraying and have developed small holes in the bottom corners. I only use these for grocery shopping and then leave them in the side pocket of my car. They have not undergone rigorous usage and I doubt they will last much longer. Also, they are made from recycled plastic, so when I end up tossing them out I will still be throwing plastic away. Not all that environmentally friendly after all.

I love these! They're very roomy and sturdy, and the handles are comfortable even when I'm carrying more than one per hand fully loaded. They have a nice, flat bottom lined with a thin but hard plastic piece to help the bags hold their shape when full. Very easy to clean, too. I just take the bottom out, toss them in the washer, then let them dry over-night. They're barely damp when fresh out of the washer. These are way better than canvas book bags to use.
(These would be five stars but for some odd reason only four are showing up. Five stars!!!)
Buy a bunch and give them to your friends and neighbors! Plastic grocery bags pollute our waterways, roadways, and kill wild life. Even if you "recycle" the plastic bags, they still sit in our landfills for a couple of hundred years.

These bags are large and strong. We went to costco, and given that they don't use bags, our who cart fit into 5 bags (except for a few cases of water). We keep the bags in our trunk at all times and use the tote to carry them around. Using them gives you a warm happy feeling. Excellent buy!
